MyBuddy connects over Bluetooth with Smartphone (IOS & Android) and uses the power of Smartphone to drive location , audio/video recording and SOS communication to three predefined numbers. User needs to download OptiSafe Mobile app which is available for Android and iOS. The device consumes low power and assures a long battery life.

*If the smart phone is turned off, the Bluetooth connection will be broken, so you cannot use the device.

Yes, you can stop the alert sound by switching off alarm in the Optisafe App

When a GREEN light is emitted after pressing the button in Optisafe Mybuddy, it signifies that the device is working. Similarly, if Bluetooth gets disconnected then the device emits RED light.

Yes, the device generates a 90dB alert sound when the cap is pulled in an emergency.
Yes, if you don’t attach GPS on your smart phone, you won’t be able to trace the location of your smart phone and it won’t be able to send your live location to SOS contacts during emergency as well.
Usually, the battery lasts for 4-5 months. For your convenience, the device will indicate you when the battery is less than 20%.
Bluetooth 4.0 and above communication works only on smart phones with smooth Android 5.0 lollipop and IOS 9.0 and above.
Yes, it is possible to transfer the device once it has been removed from the Optisafe app. (Optisafe main screen>Settings>Select the “Delete Device” at the bottom of the screen and delete the device.)
Your recordings will be saved for 30 days after which it will be automatically removed from Optisafe.
No, recording links will not be sent over email. It will be sent only on the numbers of your SOS contact.
Once SOS is triggered, after every 30 seconds for continuously 30 minutes your live location is shared.
Maximum 3 SOS contacts can be configured.
Following steps need to be followed
  • Download Optisafe app at SOS contact’s handset.
  • Finish the account registration process. Once done, Account code for SOS contact is generated. Check Account code as shown in below image:

  • My Buddy SOS contact along with his Optisafe Account code needs to be entered.
  • Once configured this way, SOS contact will also get Siren alert in addition to SMS.
Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop) and above support the Optisafe application.
